Wooden Carport Incidents
1. Takes place in Anaheim, California. There was a massive fire that burned down a carport at an apartment complex. The fire took place in the very early morning, around 2 a.m. The residents were not injured, largely in part to a very quick response from the Fullerton and Orange County Fire Departments. Thirty firefighters fought the large blaze that was taking place right outside the apartment complex. They managed to subdue the inferno in around a half hour. Many vehicles were damaged by the debris, smoke, and fire itself, but luckily the firefighters protected nearby vehicles and managed to contain the fire after they arrived. The residents are extremely fortunate to only be experiencing property damage.
2. Takes place in Holland, Michigan. An arsonist started a fire and nearly completely destroyed two vehicles. Two local fire departments responded as soon as a bystander called in. Witnesses also stated they saw the fire being started. These types of incidents are extremely unfortunate because damage is going to be done regardless of the fortitude if a person is attempting to destroy the vehicles underneath. Local law enforcement is still taking any information on who could’ve started the fire, as the damages were totaled out at around $5,000.
3. In Fullerton, California, a wooden carport fire started and ended up burning several carports nearby. Reports say one person was treated for injuries, but the severity is unknown. There was a call at around 3 pm that a fire had started, and when the firefighters arrived it had spread to eight carports. Firefighters had to combat the fire for nearly a half hour before they could get it contained. This fire has unknown property damage value, and the cause is still unknown. There are a lot of speculations as to what caused the fire, but local law enforcements claim to be still investigating even now.
4. This wooden carport fire took place at Tuscon, Arizona. Unfortunately, a family of nine had to leave their home whenever a carport fire spread to their house. There were a plethora of phone calls the morning of the fire, but it took place at 3 a.m. so the fire had to grow before it was noticed. The silver lining of this story is that the woman managed to wake up and save the rest of her family. She said that something just woke her up in the middle of the night, and she had enough time to realize what was happening and initiate her emergency escape plan. The firefighters were able to successfully put out the fire that morning. The family had to be removed from the home mainly due to damage to their electrical panel.
